The onboarding process is so important to the success of an employee and by default, the entire organization. Your breakdown on how to do it well was spot on. From choosing quality employee training software and materials to finding the correct space, I feel like you covered a lot of topics and nuances that are often overlooked. Sometimes the process is rushed or even worse, extremely boring and ineffective. I’ve sat in a number of dark rooms watching a training video and didn’t learn anything actually valuable to my job. As a result, I didn’t feel super prepared to start at my role. I completely agree with your statement that training should be an ongoing process, too. Employees will feel more valued if a company is willing to put time and money into their ongoing training experience.
